From Chopok to Tri Vody
When someone says the Tatras and summer, everyone thinks of sunshine, nice warm weather just right for hiking, and a beautiful view. But as it goes, it's never quite how you imagine it. And so, Chopok awaited us with five degrees, gusts of wind, and clouds that merrily rushed through us like a running crowd during a terrorist attack. Water was dripping from our hair, having decided not to stay in the cloud after all. Little Oliver whimpered in the carrier because he was cold. Mind you, we had tights, a tank top, gloves, beanies, and everything suitable for going to the mountains in winter :D However, we gritted our teeth and told ourselves that we would cross Derese, Polana, and Tri Vody anyway. The vision of good food and warm tea in the Slovenska Koliba gave us the courage and will to keep walking. In the end, this terrible-looking walk turned into a beautiful family adventure that we will remember for a very long time.
